Molly Hesnard, DO

Second-year Resident

Molly Hesnard, DO, graduated from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, and from Iowa State University with a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences. She received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from A.T. Still University, Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Missouri. Experiencing her mother being diagnosed with and passing away from cancer had a profound influence on Dr. Hesnard’s decision to become a physician.

Family Medicine appealed to Dr. Hesnard because of the variety it offers and the need for quality healthcare in rural communities. Having the opportunities for procedural training and the residency program being located close to family and home were just a few of the reasons that she chose the Lincoln Family Medicine Residency Program.

Dr. Hesnard grew up in Sac City, Iowa. She enjoys spending time with her Labrador Retriever, Gus, and visiting family and friends. Her hobbies include traveling, hiking, exploring, any activities on the water, snowboarding, and trying new foods. Her favorite quote is “Have the courage to live a life true to yourself, not the life others expect of you.”

Her advice to patients: You get one body and one life, so make the most of it.
