Daniel Owen, DO

First-year Resident

A profound commitment to community service and a passion for healing and education are what influenced Daniel Owen, DO, to become a doctor. He graduated from Creighton University with his Bachelor of Science in Biology and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from A. T. Still University Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri.

Dr. Owen's decision to pursue family medicine stems from a genuine passion for providing comprehensive care, a commitment to serving diverse populations, a desire to care for entire families, and an aspiration to make a meaningful difference within the community. He is excited to embark on a fulfilling journey that contributes to the health and well-being of those he serves, with a long-term goal of providing healthcare at a critical access hospital in a rural setting.

His decision to continue his training at Lincoln Family Medicine Residency Program is due to several reasons: personal ties to the community, the program's reputation for excellence, the opportunity for community-based learning, and the prospect of receiving outstanding education from dedicated faculty. He looks forward to contributing to the program and becoming a proficient and compassionate family physician.

Dr. Owen grew up in Kearney, Nebraska. He is married to Dr. Emily Sullivan and they have a cat named Ellie. He enjoys spending time with family and doing a variety of activities including hunting, fishing, reading, board games, cooking, and crafting.
