Elizabeth Dodson, MBBS

When Elizabeth Dodson, MBBS, was in high school, her biology teacher told her she had an aptitude for science and encouraged her to go into a scientific field. As she considered career options, it became apparent that medicine was an ideal fit. She attended the University of Nebraska and received her Bachelor of Science in Biology and obtained her Medical Degree from St. George's University of London. Dr. Dodson loves that Family Medicine provides the continuum of care that she wants – to develop years-long relationships with her patients and to have the ability to take care of the whole family, from newborns all the way through to grandparents.

Dr. Dodson was initially recommended to the residency program by alumni. During her interview and in-person visit, Dr. Dodson was incredibly impressed by the camaraderie among everyone and how much they genuinely enjoy being a part of the program. This, along with the opportunities for procedural training and OB experience, set it apart from other residency programs.

Dr. Dodson grew up in Michigan but moved to Nebraska in high school. She and her husband, Nate, have three children – Denver, Wyatt, and Hollis – and a cat named Jack. She’s a big fan of the Detroit Red Wings and also loves watching the Detroit Lions as well as Husker football and volleyball games. She also enjoys reading, baking, and going to coffee shops.
